| Drone Survey |
Drone Survey has the basis of aerial Photographic Surveying. It is most suitable for small scale mapping.
What is a drone:- Drone is an aircraft, has without a pilot on board.
A drone survey consists of four parts.
1. Flying
2. Photography
3.Ground control
4. Mapping
The equipment required for drone survey.
A. A UAV or Drone
B. An aerial camera
C. For ground control survey.
D. For plotting
1. Flying:- An UAV or Drone fly over the proposed survey area&the flying height depends on the following factors.
I. The scale of the map or plan.
Ii. The contour interval in the map
iii. The type of country
iv. The characteristics of the camera.
v. The type of equipment.

2. Photography: A camera is set into the UAV to catch the photographs. In order to obtain stereo pairs photographs of every part of the ground to be surveyed must be photographed at least twice.

Drone flies in strips and takes a photograph with a 6o% fore and after overlap to secure the 50% minimum needed for the stereoscopic view.
Each strip overlaps the adjacent strip by at least 30%. To make sure that no part of the ground is left unrecorded.
3. Ground control:-To produce an accurate map from a drone survey, it is absolutely necessary to locate the position of the numbers of points with its height. The triangulation, traversing, levelling is the process of locating point. Total station and DGPS has also used these survey.

4. Mapping- Before data processing for map preparation require the following damage.
I. UAV photos
ii. Flight log
iii. GCP coordinates
iv GCP location
v Specification.
The above result proceeds as a point cloud. From point cloud the different types of file make.

1. Town and country planning
2. Planning of road and railway.
3.Volumes of stockpiles of materials of queries excavation.
4.Forestry and geology
5. Flood control
6. Reconnaissance.7.Reservoirs
8. Land drainage and soil erosion.
9. Survey for assessing damage due to earthquakes, crop diseases.
